My projects aims to be a package manager, written in perl.
It will manage software installation from source archives
and patches, manage dependencies for installation and
uninstall, maintain a database of installed files, provide
virtualisation to avoid cataclysms, allow massive packages
updates or upgrades and so on...
In few words, it will be a sort of implementation of
BSD ports, for Linux, for a complete GNU/Linux installation,
with many Debian apt and dpkg pleasant features.
