A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Matt Boeh <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Perl-Fusion
System name: perl-fusion
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Perl-Fusion is a Perl version of the popular web portal software PHP-Nuke
(http://phpnuke.org). This branch is due to numerous problems in the original,
such as shaky language, little documentation, and slow running speed, as well
as the original\'s use of GIF graphics.
PF provides the news, polls, user-management, comment, and theme systems of the
original, along with extra optional features such as project and documentation
management/search engines, as well as numerous small enhancements. In addition,
a significant amount of documentation in both comment and POD form will be
provided; this is a feature sorely lacking in PHP-Nuke.
PF will be themable, but provides several ways to acheive this. PHP-Nuke style
themes (written in Perl) will be supported with an included library to make the
process easier. Also, themes written in XML will be supported, as well as
stylesheet-only extensions to a current theme.
PF runs using a local SQL database; it uses the Perl modules DBI or Win32::ODBC
for this purpose.
It does not exist yet but the process of translating the PHP codebase into Perl
is proceeding rapidly.
