BITLOG USERTRACK
written and developed by: Ratko Rudic
project manager: Vasja Zupan

Introduction
Bitlog\'s main function is to log accesses to the specified domain. Data of
each access are saved in a database or static files.

Bitlog is implemented in a modular way, so that all administrators have an
option to add or remove modules. Modules can be written by anyone. Their
primary task is to show collected data but many other modules can be done too.

Bitlog uses XML/XSL technology to present data.

It logges user\'s access to the web page through a transparent gif. This gif is
basically not a real gif image, but rather a PHP code that writes access data
to the database. After the script is finished, it returns a blank image to the
web browser.

This Bitlog Usertrack was developed (at the very beginning) with a help of the
old Bitlog application found at the sourceforge. Hence the name Bitlog
Usertrack. I added Usertrack because it\'s primary goal is tracking of user
movements throug an internet domain.

Bitlog\'s main functions are:

1. logging of all accesses to the specified internet domain,
2. user accessing a page must not know that he is being logged,
3. working under stress,
4. automatic archiving of old data,
5. automatic dearchiving of old data on demand,
6. being able to accept a wide variaty of userspace modules,
7. running of userspace modules,
8. multilanguage support,
9. easy changing of application\'s outlook.

Components needed for application to work:

Bitlog Usertrack was created and works with:

- Linux OS (Debian Linux) [www.linux.org],
- Apache HTTP server [www.apache.org],
- PHP 4.06 (+ sablotron, + expath) [www.php.net],
