A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Janico Greifenberg <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Lot of communication overhead
System name: loco
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Loco - \'Lot Of Communication Overhead
Loco is a project to create a peer-to-peer communication tool based on a
dynamically self-
administrating secure peer-to-peer network.
It\'s meant to be a free replacement for icq, aim, msm messenger, etc. without
thier inherent
defectiveness namely the server based infrastructure and the lack of decent
privacy. Loco
will use special protocols so the clients can reach each other directly without
a server. When
needed the whole network acts like a single server but there is no single point
of failure.
In order to secure the communication GPG will be used to encrypt and sign any
transmission over
the network.
The project is just starting, it does not do anything useful yet, but we are
trying to change
that soon.
