dvdrtools is a fork of cdrtools 
(http://www.fokus.gmd.de/research/cc/glone/employees/joerg.schilling/private/cdrecord.html)
 
that supports writing to DVD drives (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R).

Since the cdrtools maintainer has no interest in adding this functionality to 
cdrtools itself (he\'s trying to sell his own proprietary fork, 
cdrecord-ProDVD), I believe a fork is unfortunate but necessary.

Patches exist, but aren\'t publically available yet.
