My project is about creating a plugin for having a chat system in slash sites 
(sites who use the software that runs on slashdot). A web chat.



It uses Mysql an mod_perl (it runs on Apache)



The chat is thought for slash because it uses the slash authentification system 
and seclevs. In a nearly future it will use slash templates system and it will 
be presented as a plugin, then many slash sites could use it easily.



Now is a group of cgis working together written in perl, in a future it will be 
more as an apache module



It runs different for anonymous, registered and editors (administrators). If 
you try it think about probably you are a simple anonymous without powers :)



The editors can sleep (download only a few bytes each 15 seconds) and being get 
up when someone gets inside.



It currently works, but it can be better, more secure, more optimized for 
slash, ...
