A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Chuck Adams <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Emacs XML Libraries
System name: emaxml
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

My project is intended to be a repository of emacs lisp libraries that are
geared toward the development of specific XML document types, such as XSLT and
XML Schemas. This project intends to collect existing XML libraries for emacs
that are not well-maintained, develop new content, and spin off elisp libraries
of general utility as the opportunity arises.

Some sub-projects in the pipeline:
  * An xsl-mode based on the xslide package by Tony Graham [largely completed]
  * Utilities for creating extents in an xml buffer using xpath
  * A sexp-based non-validating xml parser in elisp that requires no dtd --
simpler to use than psgml\'s parser, which isn\'t very lisp-like.
  * A mode for editing xml schemas based on the smart abbrev expansion code in
xsl-mode
  * A validating extension to the sexp xml parser, using xml schemas

The ultimate ambition of this project is to become the central location for
pursuing XML development on emacs.

The project currently has no home, although code has already been written,
namely the first sub-project listed above.
