A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Larry Owen <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Scrudgeware
System name: scrudgeware
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Scrudgeware (The \"Distro\") is currently under development. As a GNU/Linux
distribution, ScrudgeWare is being designed with several goals in mind. First
and foremost is to be built 100% from GPL(or other freely licensed) software .
Second, NO BLOAT, many modern Linux distributions come with every software
package known to man, this is not the Scrudgeware approach. Scrudgeware will
try to build a simple (\"bare bones\") system on which the user can add any
software they choose. As part of the basic framework, a system will be devised
to allow users to share their customizations (or custom distros). Hopefully,
alot of this functionality can be achieved by leveraging on the huge amount of
tools that already exist.
