This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

The purpose of this project is to:

1) Begin by porting the GNU Mach kernel to the Alpha architecture.
2) If necessary, make any changes required to the HURD servers to support Alpha 
in specific and 64-bit processors in general.

A preliminary port does exist (it compiles but does not yet boot)--the patch 
has been posted to the bug-hurd mailing list for review. It can be downloaded 
from http://walfield.org/pub/people/neal/gnumach-alpha.diff
