This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

cassjopeia is basically an astronomical ephemeris programm for GNU/Linux 
The following features are planed (just for the beginning):
starchart - helocentric,geocentric and topocentric - proper motion of
stars, planetary movments.
Information on planets, moons etc.
Earth Satellite tracking (ISS,SAR,ERS etc...) 
Remote Telescope Control and CCD Image Processing 
FITS ability.
ability to import NASA HEASARC catalogs in tdat format.
 
Also it is planed to use Guile as scripting language for solving
astronomical situations (aka finding constellations,  etc.)
 
Even everything an (hobby-)astronomer need to do his work.
 
The Programm itself will be written in C
With the use of Glade to base layout the GUI in GTK.
