A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Gary Wong <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Free V-AMP
System name: freevamp
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
Free V-AMP is a free software project which acts as a MIDI controller for the
Behringer V-AMP 2 guitar amplifier. It is intended to be a free replacement
for the proprietary zero-cost software Behringer distributes. (Their program,
V-AMP Design, runs only under MS Windows, but Free V-AMP runs on free operating
systems, including GNU/Linux.) It
can control and monitor the amplifier settings, load and save those settings,
and perform other common MIDI operations. It will be licensed under the GNU
GPL.
A preliminary version of Free V-AMP exists, but it has not yet been distributed.
Other Software Required:
Free V-AMP requires GTK+ 2.0 or later. To be more than trivially useful, it
also requires an operating system with MIDI device support, and a V-AMP 2
amplifier.
