A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Mikey Lubker <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: GPL or Apple Public License depending on which kernel we decide
to use.
Package: N(/)PANE - The No Pain OS with Point-and-Click Java!
System name: nopane
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
My project is an operating system that will use either a bootable Java
environment or a very small Darwin or Linux based kernel to boot Java and be
completely Java from that point forward. X11 and Mesa will probably be
integrated into the kernel as well. This system will allow point-and-click
support for programs written in Java, C and compatible languages.
The project already exists but needs more members and is currently under GPL
but may need to be APL if we use the Darwin kernel:

Other Software Required:
Most probably Java, GL4Java, Mesa and XFree86 will be used for the basis of
most of it.
Other Comments:
The GNOME and KDE desktop environments will probably be Java-ported and made to
run on this system. This OS will be renamed from MIL.system to N(/)Pane (NOPane)
