Dodji Seketeli <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: ibija
System name: ibija
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
This projects is an attempt to write a
Free Java Bytecode Interpreter.
Its aim is to provide with a GPLed cleanroom implementation
of Java 1.2 .
Ibija will be written in C, stick to the GNU coding standards (unlike the
other free JVMs)
and will have portability/stability as first target. The first versions won\'t
therefore
use native threads ... they will instead provide their own thread
implementation featuring green theads.
Ibija will also be debug oriented. It will provide facilities for an operator to
connect to it running VM process and extracts profiling reports on the
applications
being interpreted and on the internal data structures of the interpreter itself.
