A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Miguel RodrÃguez <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Kernel modular debuger and development
System name: kmdbg
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
My project is aimed at x86 Linux kernel (and maybe other kernels) patchless
debugging capabilities and helping some kind of kernel development. It is just
a small part of other project and was not intended to be a Linux kernel
debugger, but can be used for debugging the Linux kernel once it is running and
we have the possibility of loading modules. Should be useful for linux module
debugging and specially Linux kernel self study.
It already exists and you can download the latest distribution at
http://www.cps.unizar.es/~agus/
Other Software Required:
GNU make
GNU gcc (tested with 2.95)
Linux modutils
Optionally:
ssh (better, for scp) or rcp.
kgdb scripts (see kgdb home page).
