Package: Aria Global File Share
System name: aria
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
a.r.i.a.
Alternative Record Industry Association
We are currently looking for programmers to complete the development of a file
sharing program that will be UNIQUE.
This program will enable file sharing of any file and any type to be made
available to anyone at any time, using a computer.
The basis of the program will be to use a small proportion of the computing
power available at any one time, once a critical mass of users has been
established.
The program will not only automatically encrypt and decrypt shared files, but
also encrypt and decrypt programs and databases that are installed and updated
on any users computer.
This program will automatically monitor the number of copies of itself on the
internet and will optimize itself for its most efficient file swapping.
Primarily it will target T1 connections or greater, with ample available
computing power for database uploads.
This will be a freeware program and we believe that once established on the
internet it will be impossible to monitor due to encryption and automatic
database deletion on disconnection. On reconnection and activation of the file
swapping program it will search for any other computer running the same program
to automatically establish itself in the chain.
If you are interested in bringing the program to fruition by having developer
knowledge of Peer-To-Peer, Encryption / Decryption programming skills in Delphi
or Kylix, you will be welcome to join our team of developers that will finally
and conclusively end the file swapping debate.
Please contact us on the following email specifying,
(a) What you think of the program,
(b) What your development skill set are,
(c) If you wish to join us.
All developers will be given equal billing rights and acknowledgement on this
project.
Other Software Required:
The project will be developed solely in Delphi and eventually ported over to
Kylix in order to run on Linux Systems
Other Comments:
The end project will be given away freely, the source code however will not be
allowed to be distributed.
