A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

David Bellot <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: GPL for the graphical user interface
LGPL for the library
Package: Bichoco Graphical Models System
System name: bichoco
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
A Bayesian Networks Framework.
The aim of this project is to develop and implement various algorithm to desing
and use bayesian networks and graphical models.

The framework will be composed of a C++ library and a graphical user interface.
The library could be used alone and will implement design, knowledge
representation, inference and learning algorithms among all others. The
graphical user interface (based on GNOME, written in C++ with GNOMEmm) is the
framework to design and experiment bayesian networks.

Here is a part of the topics that will be covered by our library :

- inference in graphical models,
- learning in graphical models,
- reasoning in graphical models,
- automatically designing of graphical models,
- dealing with time, with observations, etc...
- emulation of HMM, Kalman filters, etc...
- etc...

Important points will be :

- portability,
- speed and optimizations,
- experimentations and research.

Other Software Required:
STL (gcc >= 3)
GNOME and C++ bindings of GNOME

Other Comments:
David Bellot is the primary author.
