[Savannah-hackers] Serious CVS problems (sorry) |

Hello!
I'm the maintainer of the Chicken project.
I have somehow seriously fucked up the whole CVS repository
of this project and don't know what to do about it.
Chicken was not under CVS control up to now, and I followed
the instructions given on the project's CVS page. But when
checking out the files (via anonymous CVS - just for testing it)
all file-times were identical, or - to be more precise - the
file-times were set to the moment when the files were actually
`add'ed (commited). This caused the build to fail (Chicken is
bootstrapped from it's own sources and the identical file-times
resulted in invocations of the `chicken' executable before
it was actually created).
It should be clear by now that I'm not an expert on CVS. ;-)
So:
1) How can I add the files to the repository but keep the
original file-modification times?
2) Can you please nuke the stuff that's already in the
repository (Attic, etc.) since this seems to interfere
with all the desperate actions I've tried so far (using
`import', and doing other (possibly wrong) things. I would
also like to start from a clean state.
I have wasted the whole day trying to simply get my files on
to the site, without success so far. I'm pretty desperate.
Please help.
cheers,
felix
