Evan Summers <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: precis.org.za
System name: precis
Type: 1
Description:
precis.org.za is java-inspired programming environment for developing
native web apps on gnu systems, fast
we have implemented libraries and interfaces familiar with java,
but simpler, and focussed on the problem space of database/web apps and services
precis programs are almost c programs which look more like java,
and get preprocessed in pure c, for native compilation
precis is a good choice as a first language to learn
in the c, c++, java and c# family, especially for learners
mostly interested in database/web applications
the home page is http://precis.org.za
the source is http://precis.org.za/precis.zip
Other Software Required:
gcc compiler
Other Comments:
obsidianData.com sponsors precis and provides commercial support like
guaranteed 48hour bugfixes for those wishing to use precis
in critical production environments
