A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Mathias Kettner <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License: In addition to the GPL:

For each game hosted you must send an email to an address which will be
announced in the software. This does not affect
your right to host the game, however. Otherwise stated that
email is not an asking for permission. The permission is already granted by the
GPL. It\'s just that I want to see
how the game is performing and get some feedback.

You don\'t have to send emails for test-only games, where
no emails or mails are sent.
Package: Prometheus Play by (E)Mail game by Mathi
System name: prometheus
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project is about a play by mail/email game called once
\'Prometheus\'. The game is fully functional and has be run commercially
in Germany for several years (being closed source to that time).

Later on the game program as well as the rule book has been translated
into English, so Prometheus can be played German and English (though
not in the same game).

Since the chances of earning money with a PBEM game is almost zero,
I decided to make the programm open source. The game also contains
a bunch of images, which are copyrighted by a friend of mine, who
still has to agree to make also those images open source.

The game is written in C++. It produces HTML or PostScript output
to be sent either via email or plain mail.

The game is a \"build your civilization from stone age to modern times
and try to rule the world\" game.

Other Software Required:
The game is written to be compiled on Linux. I had a windows version
based an dejagnu once, so it should be not a great problem to reactivate that
one and host the game on Windows.

On linux, however, it is much easier to setup a fully automated game
server with automated email responder and automated game procession
and mailing.

Other Comments:
The Only problem is that i have almost no time myself to further maintain it.
But since it already has been run in many games and there are
very few known bugs (if any) you should be able to run it without
any changes and host your own games.

Of course it would be nice, if somebody would like to further develop
and improve the game. So I\'m looking also for a maintainer which is
able to programm C++ or is able to coordinate C++ programmers.
