Giray Devlet <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: kalender - iCalendar based Calendaring
System name: kalender
Type: GNU

Description:
The aim is to create a icalendar (rfc2445) compliant Calendar server.

There currently are no standalone servers that enable users to
share calendars and schedule meetings (which are opensource).

The aim is to create a server that is compliant to Open Standarts
and will work with commercial clients like MS Outlook and Lotus
Notes as well as opensource clients like ximian evolution. However,
the project will also implement a concept client application.

Other Software Required:
libical
http://softwarestudio.org/libical/
This is a LGPL\'ed library

Libical is an Open Source implementation of the IETF\'s iCalendar Calendaring
and Scheduling protocols. (RFC 2445, 2446, and 2447). It parses iCal components
and provides a C API for manipulating the component properties, parameters, and
subcomponents.
