Mattias From <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: WWHD
System name: wwhd
Type: GNU
Description:
This is a though model for a new filesharing system. Crazed brainchild of
Mattias From <address@hidden>
Working title:
WWHD
Synopsis:
WWHD is a filesharing system with one large distibuted repository of existing
files. These are presented in as a tree primarily based on human view of the
files. Human view being for instance the author and title of a song. In a sense
converting individual filesharers from all over the world into a huge \"vitual
harddrive\" for all to copy from.
Goals:
A single hiearchy with human oriented organization of all available files
Every leaf in the hiearachy is a unique file, subordinate to human oriented
information
Secure dispersal of a file.
Secure dispersal of information tree.
Several optional and required sets of info on a any given type of file,
including userdefined
Multiple transport systems(every mode capable of transporting both nodedata and
actual data)
To give the free software community viable technology for dispersed virtual
filesystems
Capable of dispersing a large chunk of information worldwide in very short time
Capable of storing/dispersing partial files
Extensible definitions of transportprotcols and file definitions
Potenial subgoals:
Functional payment system??
This project is in planning and design and there is (probably) no source to
view.
Other Software Required:
A text editor as of now
