A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Laurent Sansonetti <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: mbsd
Other License: I could not find \"Dual BSD/GPL\" in the popup menu.
Package: KISS - Kernel Improved Security System
System name: kiss
Type: non-GNU
Description:
KISS is a kernel-side host-oriented security tool, which may bring you file
integrity checking, file and process hiding and actions handling on special
internal events (using a tiny scripting language).
KISS can be used on FreeBSD and OpenBSD. We are currently porting it to the
Linux platform.
KISS is released under a dual BSD/GPL license.
The core of KISS is provided as a kernel module. Alarms are sent to an userland
deamon (the KISS gateway), which can share them with others KISS gateways
(using a secure protocol, based on SSL). Gateways are designed to accept
plugins. Plugins are implemented with C/C++.
KISS is provided with a MySQL and a PostgreSQL plugin.
More information in the handbook (currently deprecated) :
http://kiss-ids.sourceforge.net/manual.html .
Other Software Required:
KISS will need the OpenSSL library, and some tools (such as Perl and Lex/Yacc)
in order to be compiled.
Other Comments:
You can download source code from SourceForce CVS
(http://sf.net/projects/kiss-ids).
If we are welcome at savannah, we will consider moving from SourceForce (we do
not approve their policy anymore).
Apologies for bad english, I\'m not a native speaker.
