It seems ok.
And for .ssh itself?

Normally, logs should be pretty explicit. I looked at our logs but the
message I got was not relevant.

According to the error messages, it's the key identification that does
not work.
The only explanation I see so far is a possible mistake when you
copied/pasted the content of identity.pub. Can you re-add it?
