Jørgen Binningsbø <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: A SyncML client for the BBDB.
System name: bbdb-syncml
Type: non-GNU

Description:
bbdb-syncml

This project aims to create an extension to the Insidious Big Brother Database
(aka BBDB) package for Emacs, so that the BBDB can act as a SyncML client, and
thus synchronize the addressbook information with a SyncML compliant server.

It will be written in emacs lisp (elisp) solely, since I believe that a
synchronizaton package for an elisp package should also be in elisp. Current
syncronization packages for BBDB tend to be written in perl.

The project will consist of two parts:
* syncml part (syncml.*.el): handles generic connections to a syncml-server,
error responses and like.
* bbdb-syncml part (bbdb-syncml.*.el): uses the syncml part to synchronize the
BBDB database.

The code can be browsed at:
http://www.pvv.org/~jb/bbdb-syncml/
note that some of the dependent libraries are currently also located in this
folder.

Other Software Required:
* GNU Emacs
* The BBDB (http://bbdb.sourceforge.net)
* xml.el from the w3 package for emacs.
* dom.el, xpath.el and xpath-parser.el by Alex Schroeder
(http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?XmlParser)
