Cesar Crusius <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: ops
System name: ops
Type: non-GNU

Description:
OPS is a mathematical modeling language that will allow one to specify
optimization problems, analyse them (convexity properties, monotonicity, etc),
and test out different algorithms. The language will also have support for
robustness specifications.

The initial audience for the project consists of MATLAB users, and people
interested in optimization in general.

The language will have specific functionality for dealing with convex problems,
a class of problems that is gaining importance rapidly. We hope the language
and associated tools will help making convex optimization easier to deal with.
