A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Ryan Yeske <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License: We will post a notice indicating that everything committed is
GPLv2.
Detected violations will be removed, or otherwise dealt with accordingly.
Package: hacki
System name: hacki
Type: non-GNU
Description:
We would like to conduct an experiment in completely free and open hacking.
We would like to start a project with open ended goals and invite everyone and
anyone to contribute in anyway they can. To that end, we would like to give
CVS commit access to anyone who requests it, automatically if possible.
We believe that development of free software and systems that has occured and
been available to anyone so years is a one of the most positive things that has
happened over the course of the past 20 years.
We would like to encouraging even more uninhibited free hacking which we are
confident will result in positive amount of interesting creative works.
The benefits of cooperation that occur when people work together on free
software projects is sometimes limited to those who have the skill and
experience to be \"allowed\" access to codebases. We would like to build a
system that encourages all to participate, highly skilled, those eager to
learn, and everyone in between.
Although there will be no plan implemented from the top, I personally would
like to see the one of the general themes of this project to tend towards the
development of both ideas and software that promote the philosophy of
cooperative creativity and development.
Other Software Required:
Our project may contain contain software written in any language for any
platform. Contributers will be encouraged to use free tools and have their
hacks work on free systems.
As the originator and \"maintainer\" of the project, I am willing to work
closely with the savannah hackers, the GNU Project and the FSF to make sure
that what is developed is in line with the mandate of these respective
organizations.
