XHTML files are now supported as long as the .xhtml
extension is used. XHTML files return a Content-Type of
application/xhtml+xml as per RFC3236.
index.xhtml is now valid as a DirectoryIndex.

As I write the sites in xhtml, I would prefer to name it
.xhtml. The current apache configuration on nongnu.org does
not accept .xhtml as a start-file.
As i wrote before, it would be nice to use .xhtml. You have
only to add 'index.xhtml' to the DirectoryIndex-Option.
