Hi,

As far as I can tell I have followed all documentation to the letter, but
the server still refuses my key when I try to use cvs with:

cvs -z3 address@hidden:/cvsroot/nexus co nexus

If I do ssh -1 -v subversions.gnu.org -l griffon26, I get:

OpenSSH_3.6.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x009060af

address@hidden's password:

You may want to add this -l user to the documentation, because not
everyone uses the same login name on both their own system and savannah.

My ~/.ssh/config looks like this:

Protocol 1,2
Host subversions.gnu.org
     Protocol 1

And my ~/.ssh/identity.pub like this:

1024 35
128470534961704802764701806579683981991304522239803824716303621469947525686038418958119525968359676162402466625915164766361592748758950828476670024271591413196850874872477020887485450714212423967549425138030005603999326475920679324175642468581615811213774444099299171489470335676959429582754070151311670575913
 address@hidden

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I also don't know how to verify that
my key is indeed a valid SSH1 key (I did generate it with ssh-keygen -t
rsa1).

Thanks in advance,
Maurice.
