[Savannah-hackers] experience as a new savannah user

I wanted to hate savannah. I was part of the GNU project "way back
when" and savannah is just so very, very different from anything we
used back then. And it's derived from the same source as sourceforge
of which I am, in fact, not too fond.

I couldn't do it. I've been setting up the `gnu-arch' project on
savannah over the past week or so. All I can is: _wow_ -- this is a
great infrastructure.

And not just the software -- every time I've contacted some address or
other for help with this or that, the response has been timely and,
well, helpful.

Thank you for all your hard work -- in my opinion, it has really paid
off.

p.s.: an arch-user has started a little mini-campaign:

I just want to state for the record that, yes, I think it'd be a swell
idea to make it easy for savannah users to use arch. Also, though,
I'm in no big hurry. I'm sure there are lots of issues to consider.
I'm sure it will happen once it makes sense to everyone. I'm hopeful
we'll work together on it somewhere down the road. In the meanwhile
-- one step at a time.
