Nic Ferrier <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: hipy
System name: hipy
Type: non-GNU
Description:
HIPY is an HTTP server for handling plug in content. A configuration file is an
XML encoded list of virtual hosts and specific regular-expression -> handler
code mappings.
Right now HIPY is written in Guile and can only call Scheme handler procedures
but the design allows Python, Ruby or any other dynamic language to be used for
handlers and much of the server to be implemented in C.
HIPY's connection handling will be based on GLIBC pthreads but for now HIPY
relies on inetd for connection handling.
Other Software Required:
libxml2
libxslt
inetd
guile
