Description:
Malina (MAcedonian LINux Alternative) is a bootable GNU/Linux distribution 
based on Knoppix. All of the software in this distribution is available under 
GPL (or some other free) licence. The releases will be made as CD images and 
each release will be 650MB max. This distribuiton is aimed at the Macedonian 
population (especialy novice users who dont want to install on HDD). We plan to 
produce releases 2-3 times per year. Since the distro is based on Knoppix, it 
will use .deb packages and will upgrade from debian mirrors. 



This distribution is a project of the Macedonian Free Software organization 
(www.freesoftware.org.mk) which has already translated kde (mkde.sf.net), gnome 
(gnomk.sf.net), OpenOffice.org (ooomk.sf.net), Mozilla 
(http://www.slobodensoftver.org/mozilla/firebird) and will use this translated 
software as a part of the distribution.



What we need from savannah is some space for hosting the webpage, bug tracking 
and maybe CVS. 

Other Software Required:
There are no dependecies since we are talking about a whole GNU/Linux 
distribution.
