Steve Parkes <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License: All our software will be GPL but some portions of the project
will use different free software licences. No non-free software will be used
in development or distributed with this software
Package: Pintix GNU/Linux
System name: pintix
Type: non-GNU

Description:
A Minimal GNU/Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux and Morphix
providing an easy software installation and removal by intergrating ROX with
apt.

The aim of the Project is to advance free operating systems by creating a
MainModule for Morphix that includes a ROX desktop combined with the power of
Debian GNU/Linux apt to automatically install and uninstall software by
dragging and dropping in the desktop environment. Removable hardware (such as
Cameras) should be installed and working upon plugging in this will be
acomplished using the knowledge and software of the Project Utopia team.

The project will utilise the combined knowledge of several important free
software projects.

Debian (sid) will provide the majority of apt sources for this project, Morphix
will provide the ease of installation and booting, Project Utopia will provide
extra ease of use features, the ROX desktop environment will be provided with
extra features to tie in the power of apt and project utopia. The Kernel will
be Linux 2.6.

This project does not currently have any downloadable files. Once the first
stage (ROX desktop MainModule) is available the software will be made available.

RoadMap.
   Alpha Release One.
Morphix MainModule for minimal ROX desktop install.

   Alpha Release Two.
Intergrate ROX and apt for software install and removal.

   Alpha Release Three.
Morphix 2.6 Kernel and project utopia tools.

   Alpha Release Four.
      Project Utopia ROX tools

   Beta Release for testing

   Version 1 release

Other Software Required:
Self contained.

Other Comments:
The fruits of this project will be an easy addition to Debian and will help the
long term progress of *real* free software on the desktop.

Thank you for considering this project
