The syntax described in that URL is not quite right.  The HTML has
  :ext:&lt;<a 
href="mailto:address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT";>address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT</a>&gt;
which displays as
  :ext:<address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT>
because of mailto:.  It should be just
  :ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT

Savannah should not put < and > each time it sees e-mails. It causes more bugs 
than it improves the presentation.
