Hi,

It seems that you've missed to correct the po/Twin-X.pot file header. As said in my previous email, pot files should use the same copyright and licence notices
as you've used in your source files (see the src/main.c file header).

Also, most files generated by Glade (or other tools) do not have
a correct copyright and licence notices header.

If those files are trivialy generated, you need not add them
(provided the work used to generate it bears a license notice).

If those files cannot be trivialy generated, then they should include
a license notice. If however the process that automaticaly generates
the files removes any added copyrightnotice, it would be good to
provide it aside in a separate file.

Here is the list of generated files I've found:
src/callbacks.c
src/callbacks.h
src/interface.c
src/interface.c.bak
src/interface.h
src/interface.h.bak
src/support.c
src/support.h

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide
us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project. Upon review, we
will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Xavier Nicolovici

Hi,

I have modified my files in this way and the new archive is available
here :
http://thecableguy.kicks-ass.org/projets/Twin-X/Twin-X_20040901.tar.gz

Sorry for this problems, i had used the project wizard of Anjuta and i
was not aware of this problems.

Best regards,

Cyril Bregnard

Hi,

The copyright and license notices header in your
po/Twin-X.pot file is incomplete. You should use the same copyright
and licence notices as you've used in your source files.

Also, the COPYING file in your tarball is a symbolic link to
/usr/share/automake-1.4/COPYING. Even if this might work on some system,
you should copy a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from
(http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt) into a file named "COPYING" and replace
the symbolic link.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed. To learn
why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code,
for example, go to
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide
us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project. Upon review, we
will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Sorry for this problem, my address as changed.
You can download the source code here :
_http://thecableguy.kicks-ass.org/projets/_

So, i jointed the source code to the e-mail.
My web site is on my own computer and is somethimes off line.
but if you download the sources quickly, it will not be a problem.

At this moment, i don't know if it's functionnal on other computers
because it's at early stat of developpement and is no tested.
At this stat, it's only a 2D/3D engin. (3D realy draft)
I don't have many experience in project developpement (i'm student) and
i hope my project is not too poorly structured.

If you want to tri the programme, you have to untar the file
twinx_data.tar.gz (provided in the sources archive) in your home
directory (it will create a directory called ".twinx"), this provide the
base images and data files loaded in the programme to display graphics
objets.

Best regards, Cyril Bregnard

PS: Sorry for bad english, i hope you'll understand it.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to
catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must
include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the
beginning of every file of source code. This is explained in
_http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html_. Our review would help
catch potential omissions such as these.

I've tried to connect several time on _http://thx-1138.kicks-ass.org/projets/_
to get a copy of your source code without success. May I ask you
to provide another (temporary) URL pointing to your source code
or send it to me via email?

Xavier Nicolovici

Submitted Description:
my project Twin-X is a cyberlife game that will allow user to build his own creature from skeleton to skin including organs, nerves and muscles. The base concept is almost the same as the game Creatures 2 (_http://www.gamewaredevelopment.co.uk/help.php?id=C0_18_7_) The creature also created will live in a virtual world represented in a window (in 2D generated with OpenGL for 2D acceleration) in which he will eat some food and drink to stay alive. Currently only the Renderer in OpenGL is almost done, im am the only one developper of this project and i don't have good experience because it is my first project. The sources and data can be found here : _http://thx-1138.kicks-ass.org/projets/_ (sometimes the server is down because it is my personnal PC) download Twin-X_YYYYMMDD.tar.gz and data.tar.gz the data.tar.gz need to be untared in your home directory. i realy don't know if it compil in other system than my own but i hope sorry for my english that is not good. for any question, please e-mail me.

Required software:
