Follow-up Comment #2, sr #105299 (project administration):

I can't find anything "new" about that: in the mailing list administration
part, there are 2 tabs, one to add lists and another to "update/administer".
I've already set the status to "deleted" but with this the list is just
hidden, not removed from lists.nongnu.org. Are you talking about this status
?

Note that this is not a real need from a "project" point of view: the list is
set to "deleted", links are removed, etc. so it doesn't appear anymore. But I
thought it was better not to let deleted lists on lists.nongnu.org. So this
one can safely be removed but if usually deleted lists are not removed from
there, it doesn't matter.

> Why do you want to remove public archives? We usually do not do that.

Ok I can cancel the request and organize things differently.

For the record, some time ago I disabled archiving since I think some
potential contributors are reluctant to participate to public+archived lists.
The problem is that now, since archives still exist and have stopped, the list
appears as archived and dead, while it's not. This is misleading and since
there's not much value in the archives (it's either outdated or things have
been put in the bug-tracker), I considered their removal.

But actually I can just go back to the original configuration,
public+archived, and create a -private list if needed. So let's let things
are they are.
