Open/Closed: Open => Closed

Follow-up Comment #1:
Mrph. Well, the script /usr/src/infra/cvs/generate_log_accum.pl has a comment
at the top "Generates all projects CVSROOT/commitinfo and CVSROOT/loginfo.".
It calls AcquireReplicationLock(), and the definition of that function, in the
given Savane/Locks.pm, is using the script file as the lock file per (a
comment there shows) http://perl.plover.com/yak/flock/samples/slide006.html.
In other words, as long as the script is running, it is locked, so that
multiple instances will not be started. That is a good outcome, at least.
Ordinarily, generate_log_accum.pl does not take long to run, as I recall. It
runs from cron every hour (used to be every 20 minutes). However, the process
currently running on vcs had been there almost 3 hours. Presumably part and
parcel of the whole performance issue. I killed it by hand. We'll see if the
next one finishes in reasonable time.
