Of course the Savannah vcs system has been suffering overload problems.  That
might be the entire problem you have been seeing.  Just the normally
overloaded condition of vcs.

I tried browsing svn history.  I see that you are associated with the texmacs
project so tried there.  It worked for me.

  http://svn.sv.gnu.org/viewvc/trunk/src/src/Typeset/?root=texmacs&view=log

That produced results for me okay.  Therefore I assume you are talking about
something different.  Please tell me how I can see the same error you are
seeing.
