As you can tell by the lack of any responses or progress on this issue that
resources to provide core code development for Savannah are in short supply. 
Perhaps I should say nonexistent.  You are obviously interested and motivated
by this problem.  Is this something that you would be able to supply a PHP
code fix for Savannah?
