Description:

  Aim of the project is to produce free spellchecking dictionaries for the
Kurdish language. In the first place there will be Kurdish MySpell and Ispell
dictionaries.



The dictionaries consist of a wordlist with flags and an affix file
interpretable by the spellchecking software which contains the rules
according to which pre- and suffixes can be attached to the words.



There is already a working version of Kurdish MySpell for OpenOffice.org
downloadable (http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/spell_dic.html).



There is a provisional homepage in Kurdish (http://linux-ku.com/myspell).


Other Software Required:

  MySpell is included in OpenOffice, Abiword, Mozilla Thunderbird and
probably other software.



Ispell is a GNU project, but I do not know very well it's details.
