Description:

  MDF - "My-download-manager Downloads Fabulously" is a VERY simple download
manager written in Perl.

It uses Perl' s Getopt::Long , Net::FTP , IO::Socket::INET , HTTP::Date and
Time::localtime objects.

It is a command line program, but I am currently working on a GUI front-end
written in Perl-TK

It currently only supports downloads using FTP (Hopefully future versions
will also include HTTP)

It's main feature (the reason why I wrote it) is that a download start and
stop time can be specified, The download will start at the specified time,
and stop at the specified time, and can be resumed at a later stage. (I
wanted this feature so that I can schedule downloads at night when our
internet connection is fast, and stop in the morning if it is not yet
finished!)

It is pretty straight forward...if you require more technical detail I will
be happy to oblige.

It is available at: http://www.geocities.com/rkwtavdw/mdf.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  None as far is I know...
