Description:
------------
CollabCalendar is the second generation of online calendar systems. The
first generation allowed users to create a calendar on their computer and even
publish calendars for other users to download and use. The second generation
of calendaring is one that models itself after the process fo free software
development, that is one of collaboration by many users. CollabCalendar
accomplishes this by allowing a set of calendars to be stored in a database
which users can then subscribe to. The key component is that when a user
publishes an event to a calendar that he is subscribed to, all other users
will see that event and be able to edit. This is a revolutionary way for
groups of people who share common events to collaborate with each other in
order to synchrinize and maintain their schedules, and all of this is
accomplished in an incredibly easy-to-use interface.
This software is completely functional, however it was initially developed for
a specifc inhouse use, and some vestiges of this may remain.
