Description:

  The GEPAL (Gestionale Evoluto Per Aziende Libero) is a client server
managerial software for the Italian Community. It is released under the GNU
GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE.
Features:
- Client - Server system
- The client and the server communicate through the http protocol.
- The client is implemented in Python and PyGTK. It uses also libhttp
(embedded in pyhon).
- The server is written in C++. We have implemented a string class, a set of
classes for the http protocol (client and server), and a set of classes to
communicate with the DBMS in a transparent way (libadbl). At the moment it
only supports PostgreSQL 7.4 or 8.1. It compiles with GNU GCC 3.2 or 4.0. The
build system is GNU Autoconf + Automake + Libtool.
The server has also a dynamic module loading system. The modules are released
under GNU GPL. There aren't any dependencies except glibc and libpq
(postgresql)

The system is still under heavy development
