######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########
Full Name:
----------
PAM-Bemyguest
System Group Name:
-----------------
pam-bemyguest
Type:
-----
non-GNU software & documentation
License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later
Description:
------------
Taken straight from the README:
----
This is PAM-Bemyguest, a PAM module implementing the concept of
"guest"-Accounts on POSIX-compatible systems. When integrated in the
system, it allows for logins using a special "guest"-account.
What happens internally is that the "virtual" guest-account named
"guest" is mapped to a "real" guest-Account named "guest-<ID>", where
"<ID>" is a unique string identifier. The real guest-account is
created at authentication time and deleted at session-close time.
PAM-Bemyguest is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public
License version 2, see file COPYING for details.
The code is based on g10code's "PAM Poldi".
----
The current source package can be downloaded from:
http://homepage.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/Moritz.Schulte/pam-bemyguest-0.2.tar.gz
The module is basically functional, but several improvements need to be done:
especially the dependency on useradd/userdel programs should be eliminated by
making it configurable which programs to call for user adding/deletion.
Other Software Required:
------------------------
It has no dependencies beside the PAM development library and - that's a
temporary hack - the /usr/sbin/useradd and /usr/sbin/userdel programs known
from GNU/Linux systems.
