Description:

  Bongo is a buffer-oriented media player for Emacs.  It plays all kinds of
audio and video using external players such as mpg321, mplayer, ogg123,
speexdec, timidity, and so on.  It is contemporary with and comparable to
EMMS 2.0, but has a greater focus on usability and on the user interface.

The user interface of Bongo revolves around two kinds of buffers: playlist
buffers and library buffers.  Playlist buffers are used to actually play
media files, while library buffers are only used to enqueue tracks into
playlist buffers.

Bongo is very easy to get started with (just load `bonfo.el', type `M-x
bongo', and follow instructions) and is configurable entirely from the
customization buffer.

There is a fully functional version available at
<http://www.brockman.se/software/bongo/>, and a Debian package (called
`bongo') is available in unstable.
