==== Description: ====
RespectfulAI is a theoretical artificial intelligence project.

It is a decision procedure that can, in principle, observe people's
behavior and from that infer what they want, in the form of a set of
explanations of the world, each of which includes a utility function
for each person. The net utility function for the artificial
intelligence can be computed by simple arithmetic on the individual
utilities. Using this as input to a planner would in principle create
an artificial intelligence that does what people want and generate
reasonable compromises when people have conflicting desires. Some of
the procedures for combining the individual utilities to yield a net
utility plausibly fit the labels "compassionate" and "respectful".

The documentation is at http://www.fungible.com/respect/paper.html,
and the source code is at http://www.fungible.com/respect/code/index.html.

I used the MIT license. The text of the license is included at the
end of every documentation page and the beginning of every source file.

==== Other Software Required: ====
The project uses Python, which is available from
http://www.python.org. The python license is on the web at
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/pythonpl.php.

The project can also use coverage.py to do coverage analysis. A copy
of coverage.py is not included in my source, but the Makefile does
download a fresh version of coverage.py from the web and apply a
patch.  The original source is:

   http://www.garethrees.org/2001/12/04/python-coverage/coverage.py

The license is at the end of that file. The code can also be tested
without doing coverage analysis, so this dependency is not mandatory.
