==== Description: ====
An application to track home inventory of groceries and other items needing
perpetual replacement. This system will help keep spending under control,
and will be an excellent compliment to a home budget. It will also be
helpful in keeping a healthy diet, because you will go shopping with a plan
and keeping a full inventory of food will prevent too much ordering out when
you find your inventory has run out!

When you create a new account you must first set your current inventory
levels. You can use the default products with the default prices, but you
can also add, delete and modify products. You also define the level that is
considered full for each product. When you are ready to go grocery shopping,
you can generate a list based on your current inventory levels. You can also
add items to the list manually for things that you don't always keep on hand.
 It will show you estimated prices based on the current price. The current
price will be determined based on an as yet to be determined forecasting
method. The list will print out by store section with checkboxes, product
name, estimated price, and a spot for the actual price. This can then be
used upon return so that the price forecasting will be more accurate next
time. When you are done shopping, you can modify the shopping list to adjust
for any variance on what was actually purchased, and the products will then be
added to your current home inventory. Because tracking what is used will be
difficult, you can audit your inventory at any time to adjust any
discrepancies.

The application will use Python with wxPython as the GUI framework and SQLite
for the database. It will be developed on a GNU/Linux system, but it will be
developed in the hope that it can be run on other platforms without much
effort. It will use the most current version of the GNU GPL license.

This is a new project, and no source code exists yet.

==== Other Software Required: ====
wxPython
SQLite
