PacKommander is a simple GUI frontend to 'pacman', the package manager for
the GNU/Linux distribution called Arch Linux (www.archlinux.org).It is
supposed to help newbies easily perform most of the basic works that the CLI
pacman does, esp. install/upgrade/remove/query packages. The program is
essentially a kommander script (*.kmdr) and is created using the kommander

PacKommander is known to run on Arch GNU/Linux and its direct derivatives
only. I cannot confirm whether other distributions using pacman as package
manager will be able to use it.
The current version of the program is 2.5, and is considered BETA.The
previous versions were mere experimentations with Kommander .
All the scripts (source) that are part of the program has been uploaded to
http://www.esnips.com/doc/6d195a58-3536-454a-bf1b-97577400ba16/packommander-2.5.tar
 in the form packommander-2.5.tar.bz2.
The program is released under GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2. Copy of
license is included in the archive mentioned above.
