==== Description: ====
I propose an educational program to help high school and college students and
instructors manage notes, exercises, and resources for individual classes. In
addition, the program will aid in both the construction and review of quizzes
and exams. For now, I will refer to the program as "classaid".

NOTE: No source code has been written, but design and research has begun.
Programming will be done completely in C.

The main unit of organization in classaid is the class. Given a basic command
line interface, the user can create entries for books, lectures, discussions,
online resources, etc. Sub-entries can be created for individual chapters and
sections, as well as for exercises and review questions.

For notes, a basic markup language will be used for indicating definitions
and key terms. These will be cached and linked to other significant instances
of them, allowing the user to find related material. A utility to convert
these notes into HTML will be included. Users can also choose to retrieve only
marked up items like definitions.

These are only the basic features of the program. Eventually features like
syllabus creation and management, audio/visual resource linking, and a grade
tracker will be included, but only after main program functionality is
achieved.

==== Other Software Required: ====
None (as of now).
