2 questions about Markdown :

Does all web interfaces (notably SVN one since I currently use it, but I might 
want to change VCS) knows Markdown ?
In which variant?

Is there a sandbox, somewhere on Savannah ?
It would allow me to make many tests and see the results, without making about 
20 commits on my own project each time I want to edit README or INSTALL :-D
