Mas vlw ai pela moralEu tinha visto esse exemplo na net e não tinha funcionado, mas descobri aqui o motivo.Ou seja, o ponto antes do asterisco tava atrapalhando pq meu arquivo começa com o nome direto.
Esse `grep -E '^[^#].*maria' file` não funciona, mas `grep -E '^[^#]*maria' file`

grep -E '^[^#].*maria' file
